Curriculum Leader - Science | Brisbane Inner South

SchoolHouse is partnering with an independent secondary school for girls in Brisbane's inner south to find a highly skilled Curriculum Leader for their Science department. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Science curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's educational vision and goals
  • Collaborate with teachers to design and deliver engaging and effective Science lessons, promoting student learning and achievement
  • Develop and manage the Science budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and utilization
  • Provide mentorship and support to Science teachers, helping them to develop their skills and expertise
  • Work closely with the school leadership team to ensure the Science department is aligned with the school's overall strategic plan

Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading and managing cohesive teams, with a focus on student learning and achievement
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and implementation, with experience in developing and managing educational programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents
  • Ability to model optimism and a growth mindset, inspiring others to do the same
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Education, etc.)
  • Hold a current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or able to obtain prior to commencement
  • Working Rights for Australia (or eligible to gain)
