**Role Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Claims Professional to join our team and deliver best practice claims management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of liability claims, providing client-focused solutions that build resilience.

You will work collaboratively with a team of claims specialists to provide strategic claims management, tailored to the public sector and focused on efficient recovery solutions.

This exciting opportunity requires strong analytical skills, insurance industry acumen, and highly developed communication, influencing and negotiation skills. You will also need to be resilient and able to work under pressure to manage claims in a timely and effective manner.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders to achieve optimum claims resolution.

- Work in partnership with legal service providers to manage liabilities and resolve claims in consultation with clients.

- Act quickly and efficiently to ensure indemnified claims are resolved.

- Raise reserves and settle claims within delegated authority, comply with processes set out in the Claims Management Manual and escalate matters as appropriate.

- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients that maximise the client experience.

- Actively participate in mediations and other formal and informal settlement forums and lead settlement discussions.

- Contribute to innovation and development of products, coverage and claims response by identifying trends within the portfolio and working with Underwriters and Risk Advisors to optimise risk.
