Reporting to and working closely with the General Counsel, you will have ownership over insurance matters and the Beam Group's portfolio of commercial insurance policies. The role would be ideally suited to an insurance and/or risk professional looking to be a part of a unique dynamic culture where their work really matters.
You will work closely with every part of the business and be able to utilise your expertise and skillset to really make a difference and drive positive impact. There will be exposure to a fast growth startup with a regional footprint and the career trajectory opportunity to match.
The Risk and Insurance Manager administers the Beam Group's insurance portfolio, dealing with all aspects of insurance policies development/renewal, claims management and liaison with customers, brokers and insurance providers.
The role will also be involved in risk assessment and lead the development of a risk management framework to enable the Group to effectively mitigate and manage potential and actual business interruptions.
- Manage the group Insurance programme and execute the group insurance strategy
- Develop and optimise insurance policies to mitigate risks of the Beam Group and facilitate Beam's expansion into new geographic markets, vehicles and business models
- Liaise with Insurance Broker(s) and Underwriter(s) on policies renewal and claims
- Manage the claims process for our various insurance programs
- Advise and educate internal stakeholders on the Insurance programme
- Develop framework for managing risks and maintain a case management database for claim records

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Insurance/Business/Finance or ACII equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience from General Insurance, broking or claims background
- Possess good knowledge of insurance fundamentals
- An understanding of operational or enterprise risk
- Highly adaptable to dynamic work environment and strong problem solving capability
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Rapid execution capability - ability to work within tight time constraints on time-sensitive issues
