About the Role:The Occupations Coordinator plays a critical role in the successful planning and delivery of a project.
This involves ensuring our standards, policies, and procedures relating to rail access are adhered to, while managing the safe movement of people and equipment within the Rail Corridor.
A key focus area is supporting the Occupation Lead in implementing the Occupation Management process, ensuring timely bookings, efficient utilisation of track occupations, and striving for business optimisation.
This requires close collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to best practices.
This permanent position requires flexibility, including weekend and night shift work during Occupations.
- Working with Franchise teams to secure occupation dates that meet project requirements
- Closely collaborating with Occupation and Project Management team members to track and publish occupations correctly
- Chairing meetings with Franchise Stations and Facilities teams to track progress and ensure Works Readiness deliverables are achieved according to timelines
- SUPPORTING THE OCCUPATION LEAD IN COORDINATING FORUMS AND PROVIDING ADVICE TO PROJECT DELIVERY TEAMS
- Managing access permits and coordinating requirements for all occupations, including Overhead, Signals, Substation, and Track personnel
- Producing occupation coordination documents using MS software
- Providing advice and assistance to project delivery teams on the impact of occupations on train operations
We're looking for an experienced professional with:
- Previous experience in Occupation Coordination/Planning
- High-level experience in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong safety focus and commitment to promoting a safe working culture
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to resolve technical and general issues
- Willingness to work weekend and night shifts during Occupations
- Strong time management and adherence to meeting deadlines and deliverables
