We are seeking a skilled Rail Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our rail safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations across all sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain systems to ensure regulatory compliance at all locations.
  • Provide project readiness support and technical advice to senior leadership on key rail safety risks.
  • Manage corrective actions following investigations and audits within suitable timeframes.
  • Oversee lessons learned to ensure monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement in rail safety across projects.
  • Conduct site inspections to mitigate client rail accreditation risks.
  • Manage contractor management processes to ensure contractors comply with requirements.
  • Participate in risk assessments to identify and manage rail safety risks.
  • Proactively monitor worksites for compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working on rail infrastructure projects or site-based duties.
  • Proven experience in the rail construction industry is advantageous.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Rail Safety National Law Act and related regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills to tailor technical messages according to the audience.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A Level 2-3.2 TFPC qualification is advantageous but not essential.
  • A First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Safe Working/Track Awareness Category 1 (or willingness to obtain).
  • A Construction Induction Card (or willingness to obtain).

Please note that this role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
