The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our client's Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for building financial management capability through business partnering, financial accounting, internal controls, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management
Lead the Finance team, including managing staff performance, monitoring workflow, and promoting a positive, engaging, and constructive team culture.
Business PartneringEnsure strong business partnering occurs by meeting regularly with budget holders to assess financial performance and to provide financial management information, analysis, and advice.
Financial ReportingPrepare the Annual Financial Statements across 5 entities in accordance with all applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Internal ControlsEnsure key internal controls are in place and working continuously and effectively to safeguard the integrity of the financial records and reduce financial risk exposures.
Process ImprovementContinuously review and improve Finance operational processes, and strengthen controls.
Requirements
- Qualifications
CA/CPA qualified.
ExpertiseExpert in the preparation of statutory financial statements managing year-end reporting processes and functioning as a key liaison with external auditors.
SkillsDemonstrated proficiency in budgeting, forecasting (including long-term financial planning), inventory control, and business partnering.
Strategic FocusA strategic, process improvement focus, with demonstrated success in managing the implementation of significant systems or process change within a Finance operation, such as an ERP replacement/upgrade project.
QualificationsQualification in Project Management or similar highly regarded.
ExperiencePrevious experience working in a not-for-profit environment is desirable.
The Offer
This role is a full-time and a permanent position. A competitive salary package is on offer of circa $155k plus super plus attractive PBI/NFP salary packaging. A hybrid working arrangement is on offer.
