Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller - Commercial to join our team at Weir Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Expertise: Provide financial guidance to business units to ensure sales pursuits align with corporate requirements and achieve adequate margins.
  • Commercial Insights: Offer advice to Commercial Directors based on financial and commercial analysis.
  • Strategic Evaluation: Participate in evaluating strategies for pursuing opportunities like launching new products, creating new service centers, and acquiring new businesses.
  • Financial Reporting: Manage the preparation of major contract and service reports to enable informed decision-making.
  • FP&A Leadership: Lead core financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze and interpret financial information to inform business decisions.
  • Safety Commitment: Demonstrate unwavering commitment to our zero-harm behaviors in support of our world-class safety culture.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10 years of experience in a similar role, including:
  • FP&A Experience: Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Change Management: Proven change management and leadership skills.
  • Financial Management: Strong understanding of financial control, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and develop finance teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and critical analysis skills.
