We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team, complementing our kitchen staff with exceptional cooking skills and creativity. The successful candidate can expect a salary ranging from $70K to $80k plus super.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in commercial cookery, holding a relevant qualification such as an Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or Certificate IV. With at least 2 years of experience or equivalent experience of 3 years, they will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes and menus.

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, presentation, and creative menu development. They will also ensure that dishes are prepared according to our standards, using fresh seasonal produce and adhering to strict food safety regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, including mains, entrées, and side items;
  • Selecting and planning recipes, creating new combinations based on customer trends and seasonal produce;
  • Estimating food consumption and requisitioning supplies and stock;
  • Receiving and examining supplies, conducting quality control checks; and
  • Supervising and training new kitchen staff in cooking, plating, and presentation techniques.

The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator, able to work effectively within a team environment. They will also have excellent problem-solving skills, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
