Wentworthville, Australia Ittehad Brothers Pty Ltd Full time

Ittehad Brothers Pty Ltd trading as Pista House specialises in Indian and Arab cuisine. We are seeking to employ a full time Chef to complement our kitchen team. The role will carry a salary of $70K to $80k plus super. The roles are open to Australian citizens, PR and qualified overseas professionals.

Applicants must hold the following relevant qualifications / experience:

  • Advanced Diploma, Diploma or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery / Kitchen Management
  • Have at least 2 years of experience or equivalent experience of 3 years

Applicants are required to undertake the below duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee food preparation, dish presentations, and create various food formats.
  • Cook and prepare mains, entrée, and side items, and prepares signature dishes and dietary specific food for patrons.
  • Select and plan recipes and create new combinations based on customer trends and seasonal produce.
  • Estimate food consumption and requisitions for lunches, dinners and functions.
  • Receive and examine supplies and stock, and inventory control for quality control purposes.
  • Supervise and train new kitchen staff in cooking, plating and presentation.
  • Oversee sanitation, food and hygiene regulations compliance by the kitchen staff.
  • Recommend changes to the menu and daily specials to the management.
