Ittehad Brothers Pty Ltd, a specialist in Indian and Arab cuisine, is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join their kitchen team. The role offers a competitive salary of $70K to $80K plus superannuation.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and experience, including an Advanced Diploma, Diploma or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management, as well as at least 2 years of experience or equivalent experience of 3 years.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Overseeing food preparation, presentation, and creating various food formats.
  • Cooking and preparing mains, entrées, and side items, as well as signature dishes and dietary-specific food for patrons.
  • Selecting and planning recipes, creating new combinations based on customer trends and seasonal produce.
  • Estimating food consumption and requisitioning supplies for lunches, dinners, and functions.
  • Receiving and examining supplies and stock, conducting inventory control for quality assurance purposes.
  • Supervising and training new kitchen staff in cooking, plating, and presentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with sanitation, food, and hygiene regulations by the kitchen staff.
  • Recommending menu changes and daily specials to management.
