About the Role:

The Finance team at ResMed strives to be a trusted and collaborative partner to all businesses and functional teams. As a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) professional, you will be responsible for partnering with local business leaders to support financial planning and analytical activities. Your primary focus will be on working closely with the Chief Information Officer and other functional leaders to drive business decisions and optimize financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial business partnership and advisory services to the Chief Information Officer and other local corporate functional leaders.
  • Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly.
  • Analyze financial performance and assist in interpreting financial data and identifying ways to increase profitability, improve expense control, and asset utilization.
  • Clearly communicate with senior management and other relevant parties regarding financial and business information.
  • Develop and maintain robust and scalable benchmarking processes and metrics for the IT organization.
  • Develop and maintain robust ROI models, tools, and analyses for the IT organization.
  • Drive forecasting, close processes, controls, and compliance activity as appropriate.
  • Conduct special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives by driving efficient processes, improved tools, and optimal organization structures.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Ability to plan, execute, and deliver on projects in a timely manner and to multi-task on varying projects and initiatives with external driven deadlines.
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading cross-functional and global teams.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional writing skills, as well as outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic, technical, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of demonstrated quantitative and finance skills.
  • Ability to understand new business and financial models quickly with less than full information.
  • Effective style of presenting solutions to all levels across the organization.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in both team and individual settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidate must have a strong business acumen and a proven track record of successfully partnering with senior management to drive business decisions and improve financial performance. In addition, the candidate must have a strong understanding of financial statements and GAAP accounting, as well as experience working with cloud-based systems and data visualization tools.

A bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, accounting, investment banking, or a related field is also required.
