Mid-Weight UX Designer

We are seeking a talented Mid-weight UX Designer to join our Consumer Experience team.

Job Description

As a Mid-Weight UX Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our digital products. You will partner with the Product and Design teams to help create digital experiences, centred around our consumer and business objectives.

This is a 10-month fixed-term maternity cover contract working 5 days a week. With the support of the UX Lead, you will have the opportunity to independently lead UX projects, conduct research, design information architectures, and focus on interaction design.

Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential for building a shared understanding and buy-in amongst stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience as a UX designer
  • Ability to define problems to solve or opportunities to pursue for mid-complexity projects, leveraging user research and business intelligence to inform strategic UX decisions
  • Confidence to conduct both primary and secondary UX research, interpret and synthesise data to generate and communicate actionable insights
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to create research artefacts, such as user personas, journey maps, and finding reports
  • Experience in designing and iterating user flows and wireframes, adhering to established interaction design principles
  • Demonstrative skills in creating interactive prototypes, with a strong understanding of user experience design and best practices
