About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Continuing Professional Education to join our team at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to build relationships with business, government, and not-for-profit organizations to facilitate QUT's continuing professional education needs.
  • Partner with the Faculty Executive to identify and realize continuing professional education opportunities, with a focus on fostering industry partnerships and engaging alumni.
  • Lead the development and implementation of continuing professional education plans across the Faculty, while contributing to marketing and communications strategies that promote continuing professional education programs.
  • Initiate and secure sales of continuing professional education services with corporate, not-for-profit, and government organizations, building collaborative business-to-business relationships that position QUT as a trusted continuing professional education partner.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary proposals and tenders, managing partner engagement, crafting creative solutions, writing proposals, and developing project budgets.
  • Project manage the delivery of continuing professional education programs, ensuring strong internal and external relationships within a matrix team environment, and meet annual revenue targets.
Requirements
  • Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a postgraduate degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement continuing professional education strategies that deliver desired goals and outcomes.
  • Proven track record in establishing and maintaining long-term partnerships with industry, not-for-profit, or government agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve business engagement targets that generate financial, reputational, and impact benefits for the University in relation to continuing professional education.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively influence and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proven planning and organizational skills, with experience in establishing own priorities and working within tight and competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of information technology to achieve operational outcomes efficiently and effectively, including skills, experience, and understanding of relational databases such as EDM/CRM platforms and demonstrated advanced skills in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other programs.
