Job Description

At the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO), we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Strategic Industry Partnerships (SIP) Team as a SIP Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with industry entities to support ASIO's technology needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent ASIO at various internal and government forums, providing high-level advice on industry engagement.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for industry partnerships aligned with ASIO's overall goals and objectives.
  • Maintain and enhance existing industry partnerships and internal teams.
  • Identify and develop new strategic partnerships, internal/external stakeholder networks, and business opportunities.
  • Prepare a range of written material, including reports, contracts, problem statements, and other documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with ASIO's policies and frameworks.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, support, and development opportunities.
  • Lead by example, promoting and implementing ASIO's Values and business partnering culture.
Requirements
  • Experience in business development, partnerships, industry, or contract management.
  • Ability to negotiate and execute contracts, with knowledge of procurement and/or contract management frameworks.
  • Ability to manage workloads and priorities to meet organisational objectives.
  • Ability to exercise sound and independent judgement.
  • Strong communication, networking, representational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence, communicate, and resolve conflicts effectively with stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Ability to prepare high-quality written work aligned with business objectives and regulation, including policy and management frameworks.
  • High-level strategic and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and remain flexible and adaptive in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Strong client service focus, with the ability to adapt to varying client requirements.

This position is located in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Applicants must be willing to relocate, and relocation assistance is provided to successful candidates where ASIO requires them to relocate.
