Procurement Specialist for Strategic Sourcing

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Transurban in Sydney. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving sourcing activities across diverse categories and supporting the management of operating and capital expenditures.

About the Role:

  • Develop and execute cost-optimisation strategies for third-party suppliers and service providers.
  • Support category management plans for defined categories.
  • Negotiate commercial terms to deliver best value solutions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Perform detailed cost analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports on cost optimisation activities and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • In-depth sourcing experience, preferably in indirect categories.
  • Knowledge of the sourcing process and technology-based systems.
  • Proven track record in evolving supply chain processes and improving strategic sourcing and category management programs.
  • Strong analytical, business process analysis, and problem-solving skills.
