Heavy Equipment Technician Role

We are seeking highly skilled technicians to join our maintenance teams at a coal mine in QLD. As a Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for rebuilding, servicing and diagnosing heavy mobile equipment, predominately CAT machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Disassemble and assemble Caterpillar machinery such as Graders, Dozers, Medium Vehicles and Pumps
  • Servicing and diagnosing Caterpillar machinery such as Graders, Dozers, Medium Vehicles and Pumps
  • Proven experience fault finding and maintaining Diesel & Hydraulic Systems
  • Experience with CAT machinery and diagnostic systems desirable
  • Create a safe learning environment and commit to safety training and technical growth
Requirements:
  • Relevant trade qualification in Diesel Fitting
  • Proven commitment to safety
  • Ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within your work group
  • Previous experience with CAT machinery and diagnostic systems desirable
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure, demonstrating high levels of initiative
  • Demonstrated prior experience working with heavy plant and equipment
  • Forklift and dogging tickets preferred but not essential
