Job Opportunity:

The role of an HV Electrician is a crucial one, requiring expertise in the maintenance and repair of high-voltage equipment on mobile mining machinery.

This includes performing scheduled services, repairs, and tests to ensure maximum efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing technical information from reference materials and conducting inspections to optimize equipment performance.

Key Requirements:

  • Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trade Certificate with post-trade experience in the mining industry, particularly in diesel electric haul trucks such as Hitachi AC, Liebherr, Komatsu, or Cat.
  • Knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007 standards.
  • Experience in high-voltage equipment maintenance.
  • Experience conducting statutory testing on electrical infrastructure.
  • Statement of Attainment for HV Switching.
  • Registered cabler status is advantageous.
