As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in coordinating and supporting the Geoscience Australia (GA) - United States Geological Survey (USGS) Sustained Earth Observation (EO) Collaborative Program. This program aims to deliver enhanced satellite ground segments, expanded data processing and delivery architectures, new quality and integrity monitoring systems, and science, all supported by robust partner and stakeholder engagement, integrated systems engineering, governance, and program management.

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Director, Partnership Delivery. In this position, you will work closely with counterparts within GA and the USGS to define deliverables for and coordinate delivery of the GA-USGS Sustained EO Collaborative Program.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing secretariat services to the GA-USGS Sustained EO Collaborative Program Steering Group, including developing and overseeing board papers and regular reports.
  • Organising and overseeing regular technical interchange meetings and technical workshops between GA and USGS staff involved in the delivery of the GA-USGS Sustained EO Collaborative Program and Landsat Partnership initiative.
  • Working with counterparts within GA and the USGS to develop communication and promotional materials and overseeing the implementation of communications plans and activities related to the GA-USGS Sustained EO Collaborative Program.
  • Providing professional, trusted, and strategic advice to the Director, Strategy and Partnerships and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Director, Strategy and Partnerships in establishing and maintaining productive stakeholder relationships with the USGS, other domestic and international partners, and collaborative Earth observation coordination bodies.
  • Contributing to the strategic planning of the Strategy and Partnerships section and Satellite Land Imaging Collection branch, developing long-term business plans, and monitoring workflow and performance.
