Job Title: Transport Operations Executive

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead and manage a high-performing team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing labour planning, wage control, and resource allocation to meet operational and financial targets.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team, including direct reports and subcontractors.
  • Manage labour planning, wage control, and resource allocation to meet operational and financial targets.
  • Take ownership of site-level performance, ensuring cost-effective service delivery and alignment to business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies through accurate reporting, audits, and risk management.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing systems, processes, and policies that enhance operational efficiency and service outcomes.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Experience managing people, medium to large teams (30+), and subcontractor networks.
  • Proven experience in transport management, ideally with exposure to industrial/unionised sites.
  • Strong understanding of operational responsibility, cost control, and commercial decision-making.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a history of managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving profitable operations.
  • Process driven, methodical, and results-focused.

This is a pivotal role requiring a manager with experience within the transport industry. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience providing leadership and effective commercial and operational decision-making.
