Job Title: Ethical Sourcing and Human Rights Specialist\

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a dedicated team of experts in developing and implementing Coles' ethical sourcing and human rights strategies.\
  • Design, document, and publish Coles' annual Modern Slavery Statement, ensuring transparency and compliance.\
  • Oversee audit assurance processes, leveraging system and data management skills to drive program success.\
  • Provide expert guidance on governance activities, including benchmarking, internal education, and policy development.\
  • Contribute to Coles' sustainability reports, investor relations, and external communications.\
  • Investigate and resolve whistleblower complaints and allegations related to ethical sourcing matters.\
  • Benchmark Coles' performance against international standards and industry best practices, contributing to strategic improvements.\
  • Manage key stakeholder engagements, including NGOs, regulators, unions, workers, and suppliers.\
  • Develop training and education plans for team members and suppliers.\

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in ethical sourcing, risk management, compliance, or equivalent roles.\
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\
  • Expertise in preparing policy documentation, data management, and system implementation.\
  • Background in international standards and regulations, with a strong understanding of human rights.\
