The Role

We are seeking for a Human Resources Coordinator to provide support, coordination and administration in the delivery of a full range of human resources services, including recruitment, on-boarding and general human resources duties.

  • 9 month fix-term - maternity leave position with possible extension

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and provide assistance by providing HR information to employees on rights and responsibilities
  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts etc.
  • Assisting HR Manager with advising managers on how to deal with difficult situations
  • Assisting with all recruitment needs, including writing and placing ads, shortlisting candidates, interviewing candidates, and conducting reference checks
  • Assisting candidates with onboarding process, training and checks
  • Maintaining and updating employee records and preparing and managing various HR documents and databases
  • Ensuring all staff have relevant checks in accordance with NDIS and legislative requirements
  • Overseeing the probationary period reviews including reminders to management
  • Creating staff profile and ordering staff ID cards as required
  • Answering employees queries about HR-related issues
  • Assisting with conducting induction training for all new employees
  • Scheduling meetings, interviews, HR events etc.
  • Maintaining the team's agenda and taking the minutes
  • Generating HR reports and Rostering for all support workers
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the human resources department in the organisation
  • Assisting with performance management procedures and conflict resolution
  • Assisting payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. tax, superannuation, bank details, leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)
  • Creating appropriate employee training sessions on a range of topics, using the most appropriate medium (in person, 1:1, PowerPoint etc)
  • Conducting spot checks if required
  • Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Updating company website and social media with relevant information and advertisement
  • Actively contribute to the business in a positive manner

About You

You are required to obtain

  • NDIS Orientation Module (QSY, New Workers Induction, SEC and SSEM) certificates
  • Safe Waste Management certificate
  • Infection Control Training certificate
  • First aid and CPR certificate
