About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 to join our dynamic team at Normanby Unit in Kew. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and provide high-quality care to patients with psychiatric illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and record interventions and patient care
  • Provide physical and psychological care and support to patients
  • Contribute to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients within a safe and therapeutic environment
  • Assess the medical, physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of patients to ensure high-quality care
  • Monitor and review the provision of care using research outcomes, continuous quality improvement activities, and systems appraisals
Requirements
  • Completed Bachelor of Nursing Degree
  • Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
  • Current experience in the delivery of Aged Care Mental Health Nursing is essential
  • Experience in conflict management/negotiation
  • Motivated, professional, and exhibiting exceptional communication and time management skills
  • Current National Criminal History check, or willing to obtain
