Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 Position

The RoleWe're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the North West Area Mental Health Service, Broadmeadows Community Care Unit. As a key clinician, you'll work closely with consumers to support them in achieving their personal recovery goals, utilizing a Recovery Oriented framework. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your skills in group work and portfolio development, and you'll have the chance to act up as shift leader and take on allocated shifts and duties within our Prevention and Recovery Care Centre (PARC).
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Mental State Assessments and Risk Assessments
- Manage medications and develop treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with consumers, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve recovery goals
- Develop and implement group programs and portfolio development
- Act up as shift leader and take on allocated shifts and duties within PARC
- Minimum 2 years' experience as RPN 2 in public mental health
- Completion of Post Graduate Mental Health Nursing Diploma
- Proven ability to conduct Mental State Assessments and Risk Assessments
- Proficiency in Medication Management
- Sound working knowledge of Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation
