Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 2 to join our dynamic team at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills and contribute to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with psychiatric illnesses.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality physical and psychological care and support to patients
- Contribute to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients within a safe and therapeutic environment
- Assess the medical, physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of patients to ensure high-quality care
- Actively encourage patients and their significant others to participate in management planning and care programs
- Monitor and review the provision of care using research outcomes, continuous quality improvement activities, and systems appraisals
- Completed Bachelor of Nursing Degree
- Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
- Current experience in the delivery of Aged Care Mental Health Nursing is essential
- Experience in conflict management/negotiation
- Motivated, professional, and exhibiting exceptional communication and time management skills
- Current National Criminal History check, or willing to obtain

Normanby Unit is a 20-bed acute admission and assessment unit based in Kew, caring for people with psychiatric illness over the age of 65. We are a skilled and compassionate multidisciplinary team.
