About the Role

Alfred Health is seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our nursing workforce, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including risk assessment, mental state assessment, and care planning
  • Consult, liaise, and negotiate with patients, carers, family members, and other professionals
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient-centered care plans
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and supportive work environment

Requirements

  • Unrestricted registration as a Nurse through the relevant professional body
  • Extensive experience in mental health nursing
  • Motivation and enthusiasm for working in a team environment
  • Strong understanding and background in patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
