About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3 to join our dynamic team at Alfred Health. As a key member of our Emergency Psychiatry team, you will work across various settings, including the Emergency Department, Crisis Assessment and Treatment Services, and Triage. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality care to clients with mental health issues, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage clients with mental health issues in emergency settings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Approved tertiary qualifications in nursing and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Postgraduate certificate in mental health or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of postgraduate experience in mental health settings
  • Australian working rights and full COVID-19 and influenza vaccination
