Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated individual to contribute to the development of strategies and support for carers across New South Wales.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to use your expertise and leadership skills to influence policy, advocate for carers, and ensure their voices are heard at the highest levels.

About the Role

The successful applicant will have a strong alignment with our purpose and be able to dedicate time and energy to this position.

  • Strategic planning and governance
  • Reviewing financial planning and performance
  • Serving on Board committees and working groups

Meetings are held regularly and typically last from three to four hours. Directors are appointed as individuals, not as nominees or representatives of organisations or sectors.

Eligibility Criteria
  1. Demonstrated experience in policy development and research within the human services and/or non-profit sector
  2. Senior-level experience in technology consulting
  3. Leadership experience in the non-government and/or human service sectors

In addition, applicants must possess one or more of the following skills, competencies, and/or experience:

  1. Lived experience and/or representation of demographic groups such as carers, rural/ regional communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, young people (18-25 years), or culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  2. Leadership, vision, and ability to champion our vision
  3. Understanding of corporate governance principles, including strategic planning and direction setting
  4. Sound understanding of accounting and finance
  5. Experience in developing strategy and building new revenue sources
  6. Partnerships and collaboration with corporate and government entities
