Job Description">

The Director of Studies will lead the academic operations at our Sydney CBD campus, ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs that meet international student needs and interests.

This involves overall academic leadership, ensuring outstanding quality of learning and teaching:

  • Regularly reviewing learning and teaching outcomes, ensuring solid student progression and an excellent student experience
  • Promoting continual professional development and growth, empowering and encouraging staff to realise their full potential
  • Continually reviewing and improving processes and procedures, embracing innovation from both internal and external sources

This also includes overall management of the academic team, ensuring a collaborative, supportive and professional ethos:

  • Modelling and encouraging clear, regular, and multi-directional communication
  • Upholding, managing, and inspiring optimum staff performance, facilitating both collaborative and autonomous continuous professional development
  • Embracing diversity and staff contributions, nurturing and celebrating a respectful and collegiate culture

Additionally, this role ensures academic delivery and resourcing meet and exceed customer expectations:

  • Ensuring regulatory compliance on a local level, with a solid understanding of regulatory and workplace requirements
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and sector shifts and innovations
  • Actively participating in the broader ELT profession and SIGs, representing and promoting the organisation
Collaboration and Strategy">

This position requires collaboration with national and global leadership teams:

  • Developing academic strategy and procedures, contributing to global curriculum and assessment renewal
  • Developing and contributing to teacher recruitment processes
  • Developing and advancing local and national initiatives that support and cultivate core values and strategic goals

Working closely with other departments within the education group:

  • Liaising with and supporting advisors, registrars, accommodation and sales

Responsibilities include leading academic operations, managing the academic team, ensuring academic delivery meets expectations and collaborating with leadership teams.
