About Us: We are a contemporary Japanese restaurant with a cozy seating capacity of 50, offering an authentic dining experience. Our mission is to provide outstanding service and delectable dishes in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Job Summary: We seek a talented Venue Manager to lead our front-of-house team and ensure the smooth operation of our venue. The successful candidate will oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and lead, motivate, and manage a team of 5+ staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front-of-House Operations: Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service, addressing and resolving customer inquiries and complaints efficiently.
  • Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 5+ staff members, fostering a positive work environment and contributing to a strong team culture.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial aspects, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue tracking.
  • Cleanliness and Organisation: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for customers.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development for staff, ensuring high performance and growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably with experience opening a new venue.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Financial Management: Proficiency in rostering and financial management.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Cultural Awareness: Preferably fluent in Mandarin or Japanese, but not essential. A passion for Japanese cuisine and culture is essential.
