
Roster Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Roster Operations Specialist to join our centralised team. As a Roster Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising the available workforce by utilising rostering and scheduling systems.
The role involves working from home on a rotating roster between the hours of 3:30pm - 12am and 5am - 12pm EST (shift times may vary due to national coverage and time differences).
About the RoleWe are excited to launch the next stage in the rollout of our new After Hours Support Service for our Child, Youth and Family Services. The service was created to provide on-call support to our staff and carers who support young people and children in our Out of Home Care Services nationally.
As a Roster Operations Specialist, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand Service Agreements and customer needs, respond to ad hoc changes required by customers and workers, and develop 'best fit' schedules for customers and optimise rosters for workers and the program.
You will also monitor rosters and schedules to ensure that support is delivered to customers that reflects the customer's current service agreement, and as required, provide reports to the manager or their delegate.
Key Responsibilities- Filling shifts made vacant by unscheduled leave and in time needs of clients and services outside of regular business hours
- Working with stakeholders to understand Service Agreements and customer needs
- Responding to ad hoc changes required by customers and workers by adjusting schedules and systems and communicating with stakeholders daily
- Developing 'best fit' schedules for customers and optimising rosters for workers and the program
- Monitoring rosters and schedules to ensure that support is delivered to customers that reflects the customer's current service agreement
- Providing reports to the manager or their delegate as required
- Experience rostering / scheduling under the SCHADS award
- An understanding of delivering residential support services (Out of Home Care or Disability Services advantageous)
- Ability to work autonomously with competing priorities
- Use of Teams Shifts is advantageous or any online rostering tool and ability to pick up systems quickly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and in partnership with a range of stakeholders to optimise a best fit workforce for customers
