About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Client Service Officer to join our Estate Management team at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. As a Client Service Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting customers with complex needs and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies and make substitute decisions to manage customer finances
  • Communicate and engage with customers to understand their financial needs and existing arrangements
  • Build rapport and consult with customers to understand their aspirations
  • Complete third-party payments on behalf of customers and work closely with other divisions and external stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes
  • Respond to electronic communication, phone enquiries, and initiate, coordinate, and prioritize actions in response to these requests
Requirements
  • Experience and passion for supporting people with disability, vulnerable, or older people
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers with a range of circumstances
  • Strong collaboration skills to build and develop working relationships across teams
  • Flexibility and adaptability to rotate across teams within Estate Management
