Driver Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to assist our drivers in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safe collection and delivery of donations.

The Driver Assistant plays a key part in supporting the driver, assisting with navigation, customer contact, and goods handling. This role requires initiative, ability to anticipate needs, and a professional attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving Assistance and Goods Handling: Assist the driver in manoeuvring goods, providing navigational assistance, and managing waste and recycling.
  • Vehicles Care: Assist the driver in ensuring the vehicle is safe and fully operational by regularly checking tyres, fuel levels, and monitoring oil and water levels.
  • Administration: Assist the driver in filling in the vehicle log book and ensuring an identification badge and uniform is worn at all times.
