Role Overview
Clinical Expertise RequirementsThe incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the blood collection process, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough interviews with potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability for donation.
- Provide clinical guidance and oversight to team members, guaranteeing high-quality patient care.
- Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests, as well as set up and operate machines and collections equipment.
- Ensure the safe insertion and removal of needles, and manage any adverse donor reactions that may arise.
- Monitor donors post-donation and assist them in rebooking for future donations.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) qualification.
- Current registration with the relevant health practitioner regulation agency.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts on a rotating roster, including weekends and afternoon shifts.
- Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's licence.
