SalaryThe estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionThis is a pivotal leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As our Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial operations of our NSW region 6, playing a crucial role in financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure all financial transactions are properly coded to the P&L and balance sheet.
- Lead all financial reporting activities, including the preparation of monthly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements for the relevant region(s).
- Prepare the budgeting processes in close collaboration with department heads.
- Manage cash flow and treasury operations.
- Conduct a monthly review of the balance sheet.
- Ensure timely submission to relevant authorities, such as BAS, payroll taxes, and FBT.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead a team of accountants, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and government regulations.
- Support the year-end process and annual audit, ensuring financial integrity and producing high-quality outputs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 2 years in a senior role with team leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations
- Experience in the transportation industry or government contracting is highly desirable
