Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the governance process and key supporting artifacts for internal investment strategies. This includes the development, implementation and management of internal investment mandates and investment strategy statements.

This role is critical to maintaining a structured approach for internal investment management governance. The candidate will also be required to collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organisation to ensure mandates are effectively executed, monitored and reviewed.

  • Support investors with end-to-end management of internal investment strategy implementation.
  • Manage the process for creating, reviewing, and managing internal investment mandates and investment strategy statements.
  • Act as the primary liaison for internal teams and stakeholders on mandate governance.
  • Ensure that internal investment strategies are compliant with legislation and internal governance frameworks and processes.
  • Prepare internal reporting for strategy owners, the CIO and the Investment Committee.
  • Implement and embed automated technology solutions to support internal investment strategies.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Business Management or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in investment governance, portfolio management, or related fields.
  • Experience in regulated environments with a solid understanding of investment governance frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment products, asset classes, portfolio construction, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong grasp of investment principles and operating practices.
  • Commercially astute critical thinker with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
