Job Title

Investment Governance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Governance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a critical role in managing internal investment strategies and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective governance processes for internal investment mandates.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Manage the creation, review, and maintenance of internal investment mandates and strategy statements.
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution of mandate governance.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and internal governance frameworks.
  • Prepare regular reporting for strategy owners, CIO, and Investment Committee.
  • Implement automated technology solutions to support internal investment strategies.
  • Provide training to staff on Investment Strategy Framework and mandate lifecycle processes.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Business Management, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in investment governance, portfolio management, or related fields.
  • Experience in regulated environments with a solid understanding of investment governance frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of investment products, asset classes, portfolio construction, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate performance metrics.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while meeting deadlines effectively.
