Your New Role

You will manage the governance process and key supporting artifacts for internal investment strategies. This includes developing, implementing, and managing internal investment mandates and investment strategy statements, aligning with our Investments Governance Framework and Investment Strategy Policy.

This role is crucial in maintaining a structured approach to internal investment management governance. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organisation to ensure mandates are effectively executed, monitored, and reviewed.

Key Duties Include
  1. Support Investor Implementation: Assist investors with end-to-end management of internal investment strategy implementation, including obtaining necessary approvals and working closely with internal teams to set up operational aspects of the strategy.
  2. Mandate Governance: Manage the process for creating, reviewing, and managing internal investment mandates and investment strategy statements in accordance with the Investment Strategy Policy.
  3. Liaison and Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison for internal teams and stakeholders on mandate governance, collaborating with fund operations, compliance, legal, and risk teams to meet regulatory standards.
  4. Strategy Compliance: Ensure internal investment strategies are compliant with legislation and internal governance frameworks and processes, maintaining mandates in line with the annual review cycle and strategy updates.
  5. Reporting and Communication: Prepare internal reporting for strategy owners, the CIO, and the Investment Committee.
  6. Operational Environment: Ensure a sound operating environment for internal mandates through execution of controls and documentation of policies and processes which support internal mandates.
  7. Governance Promotion: Promote governance principles in the management of internal investment strategies.
  8. Integration and Automation: Work closely with portfolio managers, compliance, legal, risk, and operations teams to integrate governance and strategy seamlessly. Implement and embed automated technology solutions to support internal investment strategies.
  9. Training and Development: Provide regular training to staff on the Investment Strategy Framework and mandate lifecycle processes.
