Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilities Operations Coordinator responsibilities include overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and managing maintenance budgets.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule for industrial plant, equipment, and facilities.
  • Organise scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including with third-party suppliers.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
  • Manage and maintain Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments for relevant equipment.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and control costs without compromising safety and efficiency.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team, ensuring timely completion of all maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
  • A relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Facility/workshop and plant management experience or equivalent.
  • Certification in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) advantageous.
  • Experience with managing contractor services.
  • Ability to engage positively with a diverse group of technical, engineering, scientific, and management stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of compliance management software such as MEX and ChemAlert.
  • Knowledge of compliance with legislation, regulations, and relevant requirements regarding Workplace Health and Safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
