Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-level administrative services that support the smooth and effective operation of outpatient services. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring patients receive timely, well-organised, and compassionate care.

The clerical model in place includes various roles that promote a diverse and adaptable workforce, encourage skill development, and ensure a fair distribution of workload and consistent leave coverage.

In this position, you will be a key point of contact for patients and families, providing a welcoming and professional first impression. Your ability to manage appointments, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with both clinical staff and the public will directly contribute to a positive experience for every person accessing outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a reception service to meet the daily requirements for outpatient services
  • Create and maintain patient information in a timely manner
  • Monitor and manage waitlists for all specialties and ensure patients are booked within timeframe of category
  • Ensure all appointments are correctly booked and patients are appropriately notified
  • Receive and respond to outpatient-related telephone calls
  • Update and maintain database as required
  • Submit invoices to private health funds as required
