About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dispute Resolution Specialist to join our team at EFinancialCareers Ltd. as a Technical Manager - Personal Injury Claims. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of disputes to ensure that decisions are technically sound.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct reviews of disputes to ensure that decisions are technically sound
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for progressing disputes
  • Engage with employers, the Workplace Injury Commission (WIC), and employee representatives to facilitate early resolution of disputes
  • Represent the company at conciliation conferences in accordance with Work Safe and AAL policies and procedures
  • Ensure that dispute resolution practices are in accordance with the requirements of the Allianz/Work Safe licence agreement
  • Update systems with initial reviews, pre-conciliation reviews, and outcomes within set timeframes
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all parties
  • Identify skill gaps in technical and legal matters and provide input on training needs in conjunction with the team manager
  • Attend the monthly Technical & Legal Management Meeting to ensure appropriate feedback is provided to improve capability and the sustainability of notices
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Technical Manager, Eligibility Officer, or Senior Case Manager
  • Experience in the workers compensation scheme, particularly in Case Management, Eligibility, and/or Technical Management
  • Tertiary qualification in Law (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 and the Work Cover scheme
  • Strong organisational, stakeholder management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
