Electrical and Technical Service Technician

This role involves providing on-site technical service, maintenance, and repairs on Normet and client underground machinery.

The technician will be responsible for conducting commissioning, servicing, and repairs of Normets and clients underground machines. This includes modification and/or repair of vehicle systems including chassis', drivelines, engines, transmissions, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrics.

Key responsibilities also include manufacturing and fitting of electrical and mechanical components, testing and adjusting of all mechanical hydraulics, circuits, and pneumatic components, fault finding, repairing, replacing, and providing technical advice.

  • Commissioning, servicing, and repairing of Normets and clients underground machines;
  • Modification and/or repair of vehicle systems including chassis', drivelines, engines, transmissions, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrics;
  • Manufacturing and fitting of electrical and mechanical components;
  • Testing and adjusting of all mechanical hydraulics, circuits, and pneumatic components;
  • Fault finding, repairing, replacing, and providing technical advice.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a Certificate III Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Fitter or equivalent with a minimum of 3-4 years industry experience. They should also have strong mechanical knowledge and experience with a high level of problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Additionally, candidates should be able to read CAD engineer drawings, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics, and have previous underground experience is highly desirable.

Candidates must hold a driver's license and have full working rights in Australia.
