Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the processing, zinc maintenance and electrical team.

We are seeking a suitably qualified electrician with experience in maintenance and repair of electrical systems, as well as installation of new electrical components. The role involves working on various electrical circuits, including Grinding & Flotation circuits, Fill Plants, Concentrate Filters, tailing thickeners site process water and associated electrical infrastructure supporting these processes.

The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in electrical work and relevant experience in the mining industry. A strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical and Instrument inspections
  • Preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Installation of electrical components across Copper and Zinc processing areas
Qualifications and Skills
  • Australian Manual Driver's Licence
  • Trade qualified Electrician with an equivalent Queensland Electrical Fitter or Electrical Mechanic Licence
  • Instrumentation Qualification highly preferred
  • Ability to model behavior effectively and maintain a conscientious work ethic
  • Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills along with a professional work standard
  • Experience and demonstrated knowledge with the following will be highly regarded:
    • HV and LV motors
    • Variable speed drives
    • Soft starters and conveyor systems
    • Ramsay Weighers, SMC positioners, ultrasonic level transmitters, differential pressure transmitters and magnetic flows
    • Allan Bradley Control Logic PLC
