Market Risk Senior Group Manager - Director Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Market Risk Senior Group Manager – Director to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization by overseeing risk-taking activities and assessing risks independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple teams through effective leadership and strategic direction, ensuring seamless collaboration among cross-discipline activities.
  • Develop and execute functional strategy in area managed, determining approach to implementing strategic objectives with expertise.
  • Accountable for end results, planning, policy formulation, and contribution to future strategy of the area(s), utilizing exceptional analytical and technical skills.
  • Collaborate with Citi business/functional line management, risk, and finance groups to drive success across departments.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years relevant experience as Subject Matter Expert in financial instruments, risk metrics, and Market Risk Management, showcasing mastery over complex issues.
  • Expert analytical, technical, and quantitative skills, including knowledge of treasury, market risk, and liquidity management, with ability to articulate complex problems and solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to assess complex issues, structure potential solutions, and drive to resolution with senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Management (FRM) certification, highlighting commitment to professional development.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, along with managerial experience, demonstrating academic excellence and industry expertise.
