**Job Title:** Aboriginal Counsellor for Trauma Recovery

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide culturally responsive counselling services to Aboriginal individuals or families who have experienced sexual assault or other forms of interpersonal violence.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or Graduate Certificate in Human & Community Services (Interpersonal Trauma) with demonstrated cultural expertise.
  2. Demonstrated experience in providing counselling services to Aboriginal individuals or families who have experienced trauma.
  3. Established links with local Aboriginal communities.

**Selection Criteria:

Aboriginal Identity and Cultural Knowledge
  • Applicants must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
Professional Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field with demonstrated cultural expertise.
  • Experience in providing counselling services to Aboriginal individuals or families who have experienced trauma.
