Culturally Sensitive Trauma Counsellor

This position requires a highly skilled and compassionate trauma counsellor to work with our tertiary trauma counselling team. The successful candidate will provide crisis and ongoing counselling interventions, alongside community education and other prevention-focused activities.

Key responsibilities include supporting engagement with Aboriginal communities, stakeholders and clients, providing cultural consultation to support non-Aboriginal clinicians working with First Nations children and families where appropriate, and contributing to the decolonisation of NSW Health services.

Professional development will be provided, along with generous clinical supervision, cultural supervision and peer supervision arrangements. The team prioritises clinician wellbeing and supports workers in reducing violence in the lives of individuals and communities.
