This role is an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals, couples, children, and families by providing expert counselling, support, and group programs.
The Supporting Recovery Program aims to provide trauma-informed recovery care for victim-survivors of family, domestic, and sexual violence.
- As a Senior Counsellor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality client-centred counselling and supervision, with some leadership responsibilities within your team.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Counsellor who shares our passion for working within the community. The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant human services (e.g., Psychology, Counselling) with at least 3 years of experience
- Clinical Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., PACFA or ACA)
- Experience in trauma-informed practice
- Demonstrated expertise in counselling and group work
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Experience working in the Domestic and Family Violence sector
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including Government departments and non-government organisations
- An understanding and appreciation of our organisation's Christian identity and values
- An ability to work inclusively and respectfully with First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, LGBTIA+, and people with disabilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- A Police Check
- A current Driver's License
