We are seeking an experienced and compassionate counsellor with a background in supporting people impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence (DFSV).
This is a meaningful opportunity to join a therapeutic team committed to delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will provide counselling services to individuals affected by DFSV, working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment that values equity, compassion, and client-led practice.
Key Responsibilities

Provide client-focused counselling using trauma-informed, strength-based approaches
Undertake intake, risk, and safety assessments
Respond empathetically and appropriately to clients in crisis or distress
Work in a culturally responsive manner, with a commitment to inclusive practice
Develop tailored care plans in collaboration with clients
Engage with colleagues and external partners to strengthen referral pathways and supports
Participate in regular supervision, reflective practice, and ongoing professional development

About You

Experienced in supporting individuals impacted by domestic, family, or sexual violence
Committed to trauma-informed, culturally safe, and inclusive practice
Skilled in collaboration and communication across diverse teams
Hold a relevant qualification in counselling, social work, psychology, or related discipline
Proactive in professional development and reflective practice
