About the Role

Auswide Bank is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Assurance Specialist to join our team in Head Office. As an Operational Risk Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting with the operationalisation and maintenance of the Bank's operational risk framework, as well as contributing to maintaining a secure information security environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular control testing to review, challenge and uplift the effectiveness of controls in relation to all aspects of operational risk, including cloud governance, data risk, information security and People – WH&S.
  • Assess and report on various domain aspects of information security risk for the Bank, including findings and recommendations on control effectiveness.
  • Ensure risk and assurance outcomes are managed through the Bank's Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) framework.
  • Support operational resilience and ownership of critical business processes by assisting with the implementation of the Bank's CPS 230 Operational Risk Management Framework.
  • Monitor operational risk performance and report on key risk indicators.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who possesses well-developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Possess skills and experience in providing assurance (including information security) and risk management services.
  • Have the ability to translate regulatory, policy and contractual obligations into business requirements.
  • Collaborate and work co-operatively with other personnel, both internal and external, to achieve the Bank's objectives, assigned tasks and duties.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Possess the ability to identify the need to escalate tasks, where necessary.
