About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and operationally focused professional to lead our claims processing team in Adelaide.

  • You will be responsible for managing a team of 15 to 20 staff, driving a performance culture that is both customer-centric and aligned with our business objectives.
  • Fostering a positive team culture focused on first-call resolution, customer satisfaction, and compliance
  • You will manage workflow queues and resourcing to meet service level agreements and business requirements.
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and driving data-informed solutions for operational improvements and automation
  • Providing clear direction, feedback, and development opportunities to build capability and engagement within your team
  • Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams such as Quality, Compliance, Process Design, and external stakeholders including providers and government bodies
  • Analysing data and reporting to identify performance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Contributing to strategic decision-making and ensuring alignment with values and regulatory obligations
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Leading and supporting your team to meet and exceed individual and team KPIs through structured coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Driving high performance through effective coaching and leadership
  • You have a strong understanding of operational management, including resource planning, performance tracking, and workflow optimisation
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
  • You will navigate regulatory and compliance frameworks
  • You will prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading large operational teams in complex environments—preferably within health insurance, financial services, or banking
  • Demonstrated ability to drive high performance through effective coaching and leadership
  • Strong understanding of operational management, including resource planning, performance tracking, and workflow optimisation
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
  • Experience in navigating regulatory and compliance frameworks
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
