
Aboriginal Client Support Specialist

This is a chance to work in a specialist multidisciplinary service that provides therapy and support to families with children experiencing developmental, behavioural, and emotional challenges. The service offers wellbeing and peer support combined with care coordination to help families navigate the health system.
The role involves providing holistic and culturally appropriate support to paediatric Aboriginal clients, working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, and assisting clients and their families to access healthcare services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Paediatric qualifications and relevant case-management qualification or Children's services qualification.
- ID as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and acceptance by their community.
- Understanding of Victorian Aboriginal communities and ability to build connections with Aboriginal children, families, and caregivers.
- Experience advocating for marginalized communities and delivering patient-centred care.
This is a part-time position located at Cranbourne with travel to spoke sites as required. You'll be working closely with a dedicated team from the Child Family Program and Early Mental Health Service.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the direction and success of the ICF H&W Hub.
